Time passes on ever slowly
And so mercilessly
Sneering mockingly
As it gives away it's moments of passion-
And then sweeping it all away
I have nothing to show for

Except, maybe the ceaseless hope
That time would one day
Heal the wounds and bring back
The joys of love
And the passions of life
So like a used book
In a re-seller's store

Bearing through the day's burn

Life
Just when we thought that time has turned so slowly
Not realizing the sun has already set
And the chilly winter has come to pass
Suddenly, it becomes cold and empty
We never realize the people we love nor the people we'd miss
Until they are long gone
But come full circle
The sun will rise again
Giving light for a new day
We will meet again
The people that we had lost
And love may once more come our way
Until then, raise your drinking glass
Here's to yesterday
And strike up the band
To play a song as we go waltzing by
And fake a smile
As we all say goodbye
