Memoire of a Nobody

By Josh Guite

The evening breeze pierced through my skin

A childhood days filled memories
Leave me blue with all it's glory
I feel cold and I'm so weary
I missed the laughter, I missed the cares
And the love I once knew to be
Now all I'm left with is emptiness and loneliness
A pocketful of memories and a half-filled bottle of wine

Like a bird in a cage
The shackle of chains that bind me
I've got a heartful of love
But whom am I to share?
Melancholy knows me by the name
Love leave me in despair
And happiness turns into sorrows
I'm empty and I'm so hollow
Fairytale is a lie and Love to me is a curse

Like a distant rhythm of a sound
And the echo of a silence calling
A flickering embers of fire
Love cling to me in a faintest linger
I need to feel the love again
And the taste of sweet wine in your kiss
Rekindle the fire; just a glance from your eyes
Unchain the melodies and bring me back to life

Give me love and I'll write you a story
Give me words and I'll sing you a song
Bring me back to the mountain
Shelter me in your arms
Save me from these solitary nights
Give me the kiss of life
Set me free and let me love again
